#3 Attraction Be around the people who are already doing what it is that you want to do. It is said that we become the average of the five people we hang out with the most. Are the people you hang out with the most inspiring to you? Are they doing the things you want to be doing? Do they challenge you to stretch yourself by learning and growing your mind? We become a reflection of the things we consume. We all know this to be true from a health and diet standpoint. The same thing is true for our minds. What we fill our minds with is what becomes our reality. Choose what you pay attention to very carefully. What we surround ourselves with (i.e. news, books, magazines, social media, people, activities, etc.) influences our results.
#4 Accountability No one is responsible for your life but you. No one is responsible for your career but you. You have probably heard the saying “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond.” People with a “victims mentality” blame others, situations, and events for everything they don’t like in their lives and careers. Successful people accept responsibility for their circumstances and take action to change their situation to make things better.
